Edward Sexton is the 50,000th Technician

On December 18, 2006, Mr. Edward Sexton of Huntsville, TN pursued his HVAC Excellence Professional Level Heat Pump Certification in order to join the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Quality Contractor Network (QCN). Having successfully achieved his HVAC Excellence Professional Level status, Edward Sexton not only tapped into the QCN, he also became the 50,000th technician to be certified by HVAC Excellence in North America.

Mr. Sexton works in the family business "Sexton Electric Heating & Refrigeration." located in the Knoxville, TN area. During the AHR Expo on January 30, 2007, HVAC Excellence will present a plaque to Mr. Sexton for his achievement and pursuit of technical excellence.

The TVA and its affiliates developed the QCN to verify that technicians that they recommend to their customers, possess the knowledge to professionally install and service heat pumps. TVA, the largest power producer in the United States, provides power to 158 local power companies. Mr. Ace Carroll of East Tennessee Temperature Control, a division of East Coast Metal Distributors (a WATSCO Company), administered the HVAC Excellence Professional Level Core and Heat Pump Certification to Mr. Sexton.
